Hi,

There was a Great egret at the Windsor Sewage Plant this morning. There were
a lot of Ring-billed gulls, one of which had a pink tag on the left wing,
with a number 398. I took some digiscoped photos. Later at Sandy Cove Rd.
(near Sambro), birds of note were on the beach - a Pectoral and a Solitary
sandpiper, and an adult Peregrine that had a pale forehead and narrow
moustachial mark - probably a migrant tundrius, initially feeding on a dead
gull, and then flew rather heavily over to a rock, where it seemed quite
content just sitting and digesting. There were also some Hermit thrushes in
the bushes there.
