There are now 52 Starlings having a feast at my feeders. And I don't
mind, as they are quite intelligent birds and beautiful in their own
way. Since we raised and quite easily house-trained a Starling which we
named Chirpy in 1997-8, I have an appreciation of these introduced
birds. As daughter Ava once said, "They didn't ask to be born Starlings!"
The White-breasted Nuthatch visited again yesterday; its times are
unpredictable (or perhaps it is my viewing times).
I will be away for a while, so will be going off line, but best wishes
to you all, and thanks for the interesting questions and comments. Joan
