I think it would be a novel idea to have a tour company lead a Nova Scotia tour
to our blights on nature namely the Sydney tar ponds, the gypsum mine outside
Elmsdale which I have heard is the biggest hole in the world, a biomass clear-
cut, the algae streams near the mink farms, fish farms and the list could be
endless. Of course the tour company could show a few of our beautiful sights
just to show what is left.
I am serious about the tour company idea. Can you imagine an advertisement
in Canadian Geographic for just that type of tour... It may draw the interest of
which ever would be the current government. If anyone wants to start up such a
tour company, don't expect a tourism start up grant from the government. :)
