The count results for the Lunenburg Christmas Bird Count on Jan. 2=2C is at=
this point somewheres around 85-86 species. Considering heavy rain and co=
nsistent rain for the better part of the day I am very pleased. A total o=
f 27 owls were found by the team in the field=2C before the rain between 24=
:00 and 03:00 and the next evening before midnight. These include 16 barre=
d owls=2C four northern saw-whets=2C three great-horned owls and one long-e=
