Further thoughts on the raccoon situation...simply removing one doesn't
ensure it won't be taken up by another as soon as the first one is gone. If
one raccoon found it to be a great nest spot location...another one will
often fill the nest box if you remove the first one.
I see this all the time when people get a nuisance wildlife control person
to remove a raccoon..but haven't dealt with the reason the raccoon is there
in the first place ( food availability, nest spot,etc)....another one just
fills the spot.
