(not sure if this made it through; if so, apologies for double posting)

hi folks,
The adult Little Blue Heron Richard Stern found this morning at Miner's
Marsh is still there as of 1:30 pm.
Thanks Richard!

It is now in the marsh. If you stand to the right of the picnic table just
before going over the bridge, look just to the right of the white sign at
the left (north) of the marsh (catch all that?). It was lurking just in
front of the cattails here for quite a while.

It was neat to see through the scope a head plume (maybe 6-8 inches long),
the reddish neck, see it ducking from Red-winged Blackbirds and devouring a
large (bullfrog?) metamorph.

cheers,
James
