Thanks to James and Richard....the little blue heron was still there =
this evening in the lower limbs of a small tree on a small island in the =
area that Jim described. Even more thanks to James' mother who showed up =
just as I had given up searching and pointed it out to me ....I had been =
concentrating on the cattails and failed to look in the tree.
I got some excellent photos.

(not sure if this made it through; if so, apologies for double =
posting)

  hi folks,=20
The adult Little Blue Heron Richard Stern found this morning at =
Miner's Marsh is still there as of 1:30 pm.
  Thanks Richard!
  =20
It is now in the marsh. If you stand to the right of the picnic table =
just before going over the bridge, look just to the right of the white =
sign at the left (north) of the marsh (catch all that?). It was lurking =
just in front of the cattails here for quite a while.
  =20
It was neat to see through the scope a head plume (maybe 6-8 inches =
long), the reddish neck, see it ducking from Red-winged Blackbirds and =
devouring a large (bullfrog?) metamorph.=20
  =20
  =20
  cheers,=20
  James
