Last night I went down to the Robie Tufts Nature Centre in Wolfville to
count the swifts - Jim was away - and was joined by a couple from
Connecticut and a couple from Denver, Colorado, who are touring around our
province. They were fascinated by the Chimney Swifts and their descent into
the roosting chimney.

The first swift entered early around 8.40 pm, 34 went in around 8.50pm, 15
at 9.09pm. Final tally was 50.

It was ~15o C with about 50% cloud cover. A most pleasant evening to watch
the swifts.

Cheers,
Judy Tufts
