Yesterday, a cool, cloudy, showery (but not foggy) Saturday, was perfect
for a shorebird search of the Eastern Shore, as the various normally-busy
beaches were nearly deserted. I spent five hours with a visiting couple
from Maryland, and here were a few highlights.

*McCormack=92s Beach (Eastern Passage)*:

600-700 Semipalmated Plover
5 Ruddy Turnstone

*Cole Harbour / Rainbow Haven*:

600-700 Semipalmated Plover
150 Short-billed Dowitchers
50 Black-bellied Plover
NO Hudsonian Godwit
1 Bonaparte=92s Gull
1 Arctic Tern

*Conrad=92s Beach*:

NO Hudsonian Godwit
15 Bonaparte=92s Gulls
20 Sanderling
100 Semipalmated Plover
*
Shorebird Cove (Three Fathom Harbour)*:

400 Semipalmated Plover
150 Semipalmated Sandpiper
1 *Baird=92s Sandpiper*
