Hi, Nancy.

Yes, Barred Owls remain on territory all year - they are not migratory - and 
need to advertise their territorial boundaries throughout the year.  The 
territories of non-migratory owls are somewhat flexible - they have to 
adjust based on prey populations, competition etc.
