Hi all:
=20
This evening actually April 11 into the early morning of the 12th=2C Doroth=
y Poole and Kevin Lantz accompanied me on my first of three owl monitoring =
routes that I run. We had a great night with the most interesting part of =
it being asked to keep an eye out for a runaway horse by the RCMP and to gi=
ve him a call if we saw the horse. =20
=20
As per owls we had nine barred owls and three northern saw-whets. There mi=
ght have been more owls=2C but it was very noisy as per wood frogs at a num=
ber of locations. Also=2C heard were tremolo calls of multiple common loon=
s and some spring peepers. There was one ruffed grouse drumming at one sto=
p and also one American woodcock penting. =20
