We found an Am. Bittern when we went to Hartlen's Pte. to look for the
Willow Flycatcher today. The Bittern was in the small fenced-in pond
beside the Forces Golf Course parking lot. We saw it fly in or we never
would have seen it, and then were able to get pictures of it.

The Flycatcher we saw in Back Cove. We had only a brief look, and we
both noticed no eye-ring. It had wing-bars, but it made no sound, so we
can't be sure if it was a Pewee or a Willow Flycatcher.

P.S. How are people getting to Back Cove these days? There are No
Trespassing signs on all the old trails in. We went on the edge of the
golf course, watching carefully for players.
