Hi Eric and all:
=20
Jennifer James also had a fox sparrow. Maybe more than one bird or the sam=
e one. She also has had a barred owl tending at her bird feeders of which =
she obtained a great photo. =20
=20
On the downside I had a report of a northern saw-whet owl that showed up in=
the backyard of a Bridgewater residence=2C which died shortly after. I su=
spect this winter has really taken a toll on a lot of our owls. =20

This morning about 0930=2C as I was working in 30-40cm of snow in our yard=
=2C two Vs of Canada Geese went over=2C flying high from SW-NE and calling =
loudly. They dropped briefly over Rose Bay=2C which is frozen=2C and then s=
eemed to continue on.=0A=

=0A=
Late this afternoon=2C the first Fox Sparrow of the year arrived at our fee=
ders. Well into the dusk it was still feeding=2C after=2C I presume a long =
flight. At first it was accompanied by a horde of Juncos=2C about twice the=
 number that have been overwintering=2C=0A=
so it appears that they too have begun to move.=20
