another Woodcock has been found in White Point, Queens. On =
Hick=E2=80=99s road in the Estates. It was just reported to me by my =
B-I-L. It looked to him to be in good shape and was moseying up the hill =
and off into the woods. There are now at least 9 Fox Sparrows here, some =
a lot darker than others. As well many Robins, juncos, chickadees, jays, =
Grackles have moved off (thankfully) and three Red-winged blackbirds. =
Song and white throat sparrows are setting up sites all over the place =
and I have discovered Fox sparrows have lovely voices! A few starlings =
are about.
Still no chipmunks, worrisome, and 5 red squirrels (one with paps) are =
attending the feeding stations.=20
Best regards, Marg Millard, White Point, Queens
