This little, fast moving beetle (5mm long) was IDed on BugGuide as a Leaf Beetle (Chrysomelidae), possibly Tricholochmaea. I would guess kalmiae, which feeds on Laurel (Kalmia spp) and put it out here in case anyone recognizes it:

The bright orange/red colouring would suggest a warning of some sort to predators?
