  <div>
   On balloons, one time I Keji I found one with the name of a bank in NE
  </div>=20
  <div>
   on it. I wrote to the bank expressing my displeasure at that and got
  </div>=20
  <div>
   a very nice letter from a vice-pres apologizing for the incident and say=
ing
  </div>=20
  <div>
   that he hadn&#39;t known they would cause a problem. He then assured me =
that it=20

   wouldn&#39;t happen in the future.

   So if anyone picks up a balloon with a name, write them, politely or oth=
erwise.

    <span style=3D"font-size: large;">On Tuesday this week I delivered a 31=
ft Motor Yacht from Penobscot Bay Maine to Shelburne, 14 hours at an averag=
e speed of about 15kts. No outstanding nature events other than the usual b=
irds, a few seals&#160;and also a couple of Ocean Sunfish until we were abo=
ut 40 miles west of Yarmouth when we were approaching a large pod of whales=
. Given the location, I was expecting Northern Right Whales. We stopped and=
 they were all around us but they were much bigger than right whales and ha=
d a small dorsal fin near the tail.&#160; There were probably 10 whales in =
the pod and they stayed in the area&#160;on the surface and broaching for a=
 while until they moved away. From the size and appearance I believe they w=
ere Fin Whales and I suspect&#160;were after herring in the area. Certainly=
 a highlight of the trip. A bad part of the trip were the dozens of party b=
alloons both near the coast, and offshore, many on the Canadian side. Most =
were single but there were also bundles of up to 10&#160; of all colours. C=
ertainly added garbage for the ocean but also a big hazard to Turtles that =
ingest them thinking they are jellyfish.</span>
