Very busy the last few days. Hairy and downy WPs at the suet. Lots of Gold
and purple finches, chickadees. RB Nuthatches and Jays at the seed. Also
some visiting Grackles yesterday as well as a WB nuthatch which we seldom
see. Robins and Juncos feeding around the lot.
The squirrels obviously had a good year, lots of young ones playing around
the trees. Very few last year I believe as a result of feral cats which
don't seem to be around this year. A variety of duck species showing up on
the Bay including what appeared to be a small flock of longtail ducks
yesterday.
