Yesterday Donna I was looking out an upstairs window

and saw a vole running across a neighbours lawn. A crow

say it too and swooped down picked up the vole, flew up

5 m or so up in the air  and dropped it. done that a couple of time=
s then a second

crow joined the first. Then they had breakfast with the vole providing

he front yard this morning.  A pair of robins has already built a nest=
and they are apparently incubating eggs.  A Blue Jay was quite insist=
ent that the contents of this nest should be breakfast.   There w=
ere a lot of excited chirps from the robins and creeks/croaks from the blue=
jay.  The blue jay was very reluctant to leave the area, but finally =
did so (I might have helped convince it a little).   The robin is=
back on the nest now.   Of course the linden is not leafed out, =
so the nest is quite exposed.  We=E2=80=99ll see how that goes!</p>=20

lamander to be seen.  I presume the cold temps have convinced them to =
hunker down in the detritus and muck(?)  No wood frogs vocalizing, and=
only a few hearty peepers.  One snipe calling from somewhere on the m=
arsh. </p>=20
