just checking if anyone got an email I sent May 1 about the sorry state of our richest area of rare Appalachian Deciduous/Alleghanian wildflowers. All the big sugar maples were recently cut and removed. It's a small strip beside the bridge on the Kemptown loop of Highway 4 at the Salmon River above Truro.

it needs a local champion as it is a listed IBP (international biolongical program) site when they assessed NS. In such a small area it conserves so much of this spring flowering flora.
