Saw some barn swallows in Forest Glen (near an old barn!) about ten days ag=
o, and have been told by a barn-owner in Lake George that he still has a he=
althy population.
All this in Yarmouth County.

Some swallows (maybe 4) swooped over our heads last time we were at Conrads=
Beach, the part east of Fox point (HRM). They appeared and were gone befo=
re we had time to register anything other than =E2=80=98Hey look. Swallows.=

Years ago, swallows used to nest there in the sand bank; but that high bank=
got washed away, and they disappeared.

Subject: [NatureNS] Swallows
Good afternoon:
We were approached by a Valley Resident that, for many years,
regularly has had Barn Swallows using their swallow nest boxes.
This year no sightings.
We would appreciate relevant comments, we have not seen a swallow
of any species, this year. For many years we made regular trips to Bridgew=
ater
during which we would see Tree and Barn swallows along #10Hwy.
We no longer make these trips.
We did see Tree Swallows at Oak Island Inn this year.
Thank you. Pat and Barbara
