If there are no eagles near osprey nests, I will never mourn. Down here in
the Banana Belt eagles are getting more common and ospreys less. Folks in
Tusket tell me they have observed eagles raising ospreys' nests.

The ospreys have returned to the nesting pole at Hartlen Point.
The eagles have not returned to the nest on Moses island (in Cow Bay Lake).
As far as I can tell, they have had 3 consecutive failed breedings. Could
this be the reason they are not returning, at least not for breeding?
