I was glad to see I'm not the only one appreciating fireflies!
Here I've been seeing them since early June, and I've noted in 20 years her=
e that June is the busiest month for them at this spot. In July they tend t=
o taper off. So it could be both species I'm seeing here. About 10 years ag=
o there were so many in the meadow it was like a starry sky. This year I'm =
seeing quite a few, some flying flashing, some perched and flashing or just=
 emitting a glow...

You can see there's a great variation in when they first are seen -=20
