World Heritage Site
July 7, 2008: It was announced today that "The Joggins Fossil Cliffs, (Canada)" has been inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List.

- Dr. John H. Calder, of the NS Dept. of Natural Resources, has written a paper entitled
"Coal Age Galapagos": Joggins and the Lions of Nineteenth Century Geology The paper was published in Atlantic Geology, 42, 37-51 (2006). A link is provided here (4.7 MB).
