The Terrestrial Committee of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society will
be meeting Monday February 24th at 5pm in the downstairs lounge of Dal's
SRES (School for Resource and Environmental Studies) at 1312 Robie Street.
The guest speaker, Dr. Cindy Staicer, will talk about Forest Birds in Nova
Scotia. Dr. Staicer is an expert in the world of songbirds, she has studied
in Central America, northern Canada and has been conducting long-term
monitoring here in Nova Scotia in and around Kejimkujik National Park.
The committee is looking for new volunteers to help with our Acadian Forest
Campaign - a regional approach to conserving our globally unique mix of
hardwoods, softwoods, and wetlands. You can find out more about the
