Four month contract (with opportunity for extension)

Monthly payments of $360 (not exceeding a total of $1,430 over the four month period)

Details:
The Nova Scotia Federal Election Organizer will be a member of a dynamic and progressive team working for sustainable change.  The successful applicant will be an integral part of this team and will be responsible for candidate recruitment, pre-screening,


 support and training for the province of Nova Scotia.  It is the responsibly of the New Brunswick organizer to ensure that the GPC has a quality candidate in all 11 ridings in Nova Scotia, striving to achieve the demographic distributions set out by the 



GPC. The Nova Scotia organizer must ensure that all candidates are aware of the proper Elections Canada registration processes and that they are registered by the deadlines provided by Elections Canada.  

 

The organizer will provide support/assistance in forming Electoral District associations when/if appropriate. The organizer shall maintain confidentiality of all personal/strategic information and shall report to GPC council (monthly) and to the elections



 committee (min. weekly).

During the election, the organizer will ensure that all candidates have
filed their nomination papers and paid their deposits to the receiver
general on-time.



QUALIFICATIONS: 

Previous experience as an organizer, campaign manager, field or phone canvasser preferred, but not necessary. Strong leadership, organizing, communication and management skills a must.  The successful applicant will be a self-starter and be a strong team-



player.  

 

Must not be a member of another federal political party.



Language:

Oral fluency, reading and writing ability in English is essential, bilingualism an asset.

The successful applicant will be recruiting and supporting Green Party candidate calls and inquiries.
