Want a couple of fun hours with "no strings attached"? Come to any of these events "as you are". Don't worry if you've never danced before; after learning a few easy steps you'll be on your way! Many of the events listed below also appear in the Calendar of Events

  • First and Third Wednesday Afternoons, 2:00-3:15
    Parkland at the Lakes Seniors, 82 Baker Drive, Dartmouth. Community squares, contras, and line dances. Beginners always welcome! Our 2018/19 season starts on Wednesday, October 3.   • Saturday Evenings, monthly
    Public Contra Dances. Two groups - Contra Time Dancers and Halifax Contra Dancers - hold separate, monthly public dances on Saturday nights from October to May. Dates, times, locations, and contacts for more information are found in the Calendar of Events.
  • Friday, September 14
