Hi Nancy and all
Yes I saw my first of year Chimney Swift yesterday,May 5, at 20:19 when one came out of the chimney of The School on Temperance St apartments,New Glasgow as per eBird report
 https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S45329042

I believe I had arrived too late (20:20)as tonight I arrived a little earlier at 20:05 and within a couple min a small flock of 8 Swifts appeared. At 20:12, 2 entered the chimney and by 20:19 the 8 had entered. Report here
https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S45389515

Sad to see a dead Great Blue Heron on the Pictou Causeway tonight near the DC Cormorant colony.

Ken.

Ken might provide more details. (The earlier report of this species was not considered definite enough by the observer and he asked me to remove it).
