GLOSSARY OF TERMS

Queue:

 - An area of memory or disc space that holds a list of
operations. The printer queue is a common one. It holds
a list of documents to be printed. This list is generated
as a user issues "Print" commands for various files
being worked upon. After printing, the document name is
removed from the queue and the next document is then
                 printed.
